InterpretBank's integration of Speech Recognition first presented in Forlì and London

We are very proud of making tools for interpreters more and more intelligent and user friendly. We will present our newest developement - the integration of InterpretBank with Speech Recognition software - at two international conferences in November.

We will start at the TechLING Conference in Forlì/Italy, 10-11 November 2017, which is devoted to Languages, Linguistics and Technology: New trends in language teaching, interpreting and translation. TechLING is an international conference devoted to the application of technology to language teaching, translation and interpreting. We are looking for contributions that present novel technology-based approaches, both academic and non academic, to the study, use and commercialization of language-related solutions/applications. The main focus is on new trends and innovative approaches in language teaching, interpreting and translation. One of the focus is: Interpreting and technology: remote interpreting, telephone interpreting, video-based interpreting, webcast interpreting, computer-assisted interpreting and interpreter training, corpus-based interpreting studies and training, speech technologies, respeaking.

The presentation of our ideas and developments to the academia and to professionals is a rewording moment for us. Getting feedbacks, explaining our ideas is key, both for the InterpretBank project and for the academic work that is behind it.

On the 16 and 17 of November we will be in London, presenting the first tool for conference interpreters with integrated speech recognition feature. The Translating and the computer conference series has emerged as a leading forum for users, developers and vendors of Translation Technology tools where latest developments and practices are presented and discussed. It is a distinctive event where translators, interpreters, researchers and business people from translation companies, international organisations, universities and research labs as well as freelance professionals, interact, exchange ideas and discuss current trends.
