Perpetual License + Subscription (Maintanance&Cloud)
You pay for your desktop software license upfront (one-time fee) and have the right to use the purchased version indefinitely. Along with the purchase of a perpetual license, you get technical support, software updates/upgrades and cloud services** for one year from the moment of activation. After one year, you can purchase an optional annual Cloud&Maintanance for continuous access to support, downloads of new versions (updates and upgrades) and use of the cloud services**.
*With a Freelance license you can use InterpretBank on two computers sharing the same synchronized database (see User guide).
**Cloud services: the services offered by InterpretBank through the Cloud, such as saving your glossaries on the cloud, online translation suggestions/automatic translation, etc. You can recognized the Cloud services because they are accessible from the Cloud menu of InterpretBank. Off-line features, such as terminology extraction from your documents, glossary and document management, booth lookup, etc., are not cloud services and do not require a valid subscription.
Upgrading from Version 6 to Version 7

All payments and invoices to InterpretBank are effected and managed by MyCommerce, a seller of digital goods specialized in safe and secure internet sales. MyCommerce is registered with the EU through a special scheme setup for companies outside the EU.
Following EU policies, MyCommerce collects and pays VAT to the appropriate authorities for InterpretBank licenses in the EU and the VAT rates differ by country. The invoice MyCommerce provides to you at purchase completion will include the VAT amount as well as the MyCommerce VAT ID.

You can run InterpretBank with a central, cloud based database which is managed by the InterpretBank team. You do not need any special installation. You receive the credentials that you can enter in InterpretBank, and your team can access a central database from any place without any particular infrastructure. You can run InterpretBank with a local server MSSQL database. The database is installed and managed by the IT department of your company. This is suitable for businesses that have the necessary IT know-how and staff to manage an on-site server, or for organizations with IT security policies in place that don’t allow off-site deployment.
Support is free for the first year from the moment of license activation. After one year, you may purchase an annual Support, Maintenance and Could Agreement (SMC) for continuous access to support.

Updates and Upgrades are free for the first year from the moment of license activation. After one year, you may purchase an annual Support, Maintenance and Could Agreement (SMC) for continuous access to updates and to new versions of InterpretBank.

Cloud services are all services offered by InterpretBank through its servers and tha can be accessed by the InterpretBank installation. Among others, upload of glossaries for accessing data from any device, translation suggestions offered online by the InterpretBank cloud, and so on. Any service that connects to InterpretBank's servers is considered a Cloud service.
The use of cloud services is free for the first year from the moment of license activation. After one year, you may purchase an annual Support, Maintenance and Could Agreement (SMC) for continuous access to the cloud services of InterpretBank. The access to cloud services underlies the concept of fair use. In case of abuse the service can be discontinued for users breaching the fair use principle.
