University subscriptions

If you are an educator and would like to use InterpretBank in your classes, your university can subscribe to our UNIVERSITY packages at a highly discounted price.

You can request a number of freelance licenses valid for 6 or 12 months on and off-campus starting from 10 units. They give access to the complete spectrum of features of InterpretBank: Desktop, WebApp, AI Features, ASR Basic. Licenses can be distributed to trainers and students to be used on personal computers, or installed on university machines. The final price is based on the single freelance fees, as indicated here, and a discount will be calculated based on the number of licenses needed (the more licenses the higher the discount, up to 80%). Ask us for the final price by simply sharing with us the number of required subscriptions and their validity (6 or 12 months). Read below the section Technical Aspects and Terms.

  • Licenses are technically user-based and not machine-based. This means that activation is bound to the individual user who redeems the license. Personal data (for example glossaries) are saved in the default user account. If InterpretBank is installed on a university computer with multiple user accounts, only the account under which the license has been activated will have access to the licensed software (Windows User Account). Installations for other Windows accounts on the same machine are not activated and require a separate activation. Note that many features of InterpretBank require the user to create an online account with email and password.

  • Licenses may be allocated to faculty members and students for installation on personal devices or on institutional machines, subject to the user-based limitation described in the FAQ.

  • The short answer is no. The main reason is that students create personal accounts within InterpretBank (sing email and password) and each installation manages the private data created by the user, for example glossaries. Therefore, each license is personal and non-transferable. Sharing, transferring, or otherwise making a license available to other users is not permitted and constitutes a violation of the licensing terms.
